DESCRIPTION
AL EDGE™ is an aluminium “soft edge” material designed to be attached to flashing materials for the purpose of dressing down into the troughs of profiled metal roofing.
COMPOSITION
AL EDGE™ is a factory processed, pre treated, and painted in coil coating line, fully soft malleable aluminium alloy.
SCOPE OF USE
Transverse flashings to the range of sinusoidal wave corrugates and low rib asymmetrical trapezoidal as defined in E2/AS1 figure 38, with a maximum profile height of 30mm and maximum rib spacing of 200mm. Suitable for Wind Zone areas up to and including EH and exposure zones up to and including Sea Spray areas as defined in NZS3604:2011
COMPLIANCE WITH NEW ZEALAND BUILDING CODE
B2 – Durability- The materials used in AL EDGE™ comply with table 20 of E2/AS1 as being suitable in all environments in an exposed condition requiring 15 years durability.
E2 – External Moisture- AL EDGE™ complies with Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 section 4.6 a) and b)
